The Old Dr Bells Baths, Edinburgh

When I heard of this new venue on the scene that was a converted baths, I thought that sounded pretty awesome, so I jumped in when I had the opportunity to style it. The couple wanted to create intimate table displays to go with this quirky venue. I added tealights to create that ambience and focused on details, using rustic colours in the florals and candles, as well as adding touches of gold to create that luxury feel. I love adding pops of colour and this style was perfect for the day.

S+R 'Always + Forever'

These two amazing humans got married in Edinburgh and made the most of Scotland’s ‘you can get married outside, anywhere you want’ rule…which is the best rule ever! The ceremony was in Dunbars Close, the perfect setting for an intimate wedding. The sun was out in it’s full glory. Now, this was in April…in Scotland, so it’s very unusual and not ideal for tweed jackets but still wonderful. The couple and myself went off for an adventure shoot after the ceremony and spent around an hour together, making sure we got those amazing shots. The best part was when we passed the water pools at the bottom of Arthurs Seat and the bride spotted me thoughtfully looking at them and said ‘you want us to go in there don’t you?’ and of course I replied with a huge ‘YEP’. Without hesitation they got in, cooled down from the heat and we got some really cool shots…a bride in her dress, with her groom in his suit, in the water coming to the realisation that they’ve just gone and got married. Best day ever!

R+N 'Sweet Sweet Love'

This winter wedding had the cosy vibes needed for a chilly evening with the fairy lights and candles twinkling away. The Scottish groom whisked his Australian bride off to get married in an intimate wedding with close friends and family in the borders near Galashiels. Bubbly was flowing, food was hearty, the laughter contagious and the bride was wearing a very cool jumpsuit…what more could you ask for!

Anniversary Picnic Styling

These two love birds were having some photo’s taken near Arthurs Seat and got in touch about styling. It was Autumn and I had the idea of creating a cosy picnic for them to make the most out of their photos. I always think props are such a good idea to get an amazing variety of photo’s and to help the couple feel relaxed. Cosy blankets and jumpers were needed for this one, with the added treat of hot chocolate and marshmallows (because you have to have the marshmallows!). I took along my props, we found a lovely spot and even though it was cold, setting it up was a dream. I decided to go with a bit of a vintage feel but with a modern twist and these guys rocked it! They were on board with my ideas and up for adventure…they were the perfect couple to work with and their love blew me away!

C+M 'More Than Enough'

I have so much love for these two, the gorgeous Scottish bride together with her handsome African groom. They were married in Edinburgh, at St Albert’s Chapel, where they entwined their two cultures to make their day personal and even more special. The groom and his groomsmen wore kilts whilst rocking a tribal headpiece…and it was as awesome as it sounds! And when the bride told me she was riding into the reception on a horse…I mean come on! It was such an amazing, relaxed day with lots of colour and plenty of love.
