L+J Glendevon Scotland

We all met at the couple’s place for their engagement shoot, where I was greeted by a loveable spaniel and when I found out they also had two amazingly fluffy cats...well I think my excitement said it all! These two are vets and animal mad like me which was perfect. L+J took me to a place where they often visit and walk their dog in Glendevon, near Auchterarder. It was an absolute scorcher of a day and as we walked through the trees and up the hills, we were slowly overheating and removing the jackets but definitely enjoying the heat. We found a spot to cosy down on, and set up the little picnic we had with us which had to include one thing...TEA...these two are huge tea fans!

A+G Edinburgh Royal Botanic Garden

After these two booked me to snap their wedding, we had a love story engagement shoot to get to know each other…and these two reminded me of how much love I have for what I do! They were so genuine and down to earth, making my job an absolute dream. A+G chose Edinburgh Botanic Gardens for the photography shoot and as we casually wandered round on a sunny September Sunday and I chatted all things Leo DiCaprio with the bride to be who also happened to be a Leo fan (I mean who isn’t?), I felt so lucky to be doing what I’m doing and meeting the awesome people I do.

The Biscuit Factory, Edinburgh

This was a personal project of mine that was so much fun! I chose the awesome Biscuit Factory in Edinburgh to style because of it’s gritty industrial feel. I wanted to create a bridal shoot based on modern 70’s and the location was perfect. It’s always important to me that I work with local suppliers when I can and this lot were amazing. One criteria of mine for this shoot was it had to include disco balls because I’ve got to admit, I am a little bit obsessed with them!

Loch Lomond Wedding Styling

The best day of my life…my wedding! Now you get to have a little peek at what my day was like. I planned and organised the whole event running over three days which was a huge amount of work but I loved every minute of it. I got help on board to put together my plans for the styling on the day whilst I was off saying ‘I do’ because although I would have done it myself, that part was kind of important. The styling all went to plan and my helping hand was fantastic and helped keep me sane in the run up. There was a mix of my own props, as well as hired ones and some hand-made pieces too (I became a pro pompom maker and glue gun extraordinaire). I worked with so many amazing suppliers and it put my organisational skills to the test but it turned out to be a fantastic day that I wish I could do all over again!

I+T 'This Wild Love'

An elopement in the beautiful Trossachs glen of Glen Finglas. We went on a hike to a very special spot looking over an amazing view. It rained the whole way and we were soaked, but it didn’t dampen their mood and they had the most beautiful intimate ceremony full of laughs and love, surrounded by the hills and the silence of the glen. I always feel so lucky to be asked to be part of such intimate moments like this, it’s so special and gives me that fuzzy feeling looking back on the images. Coming prepared with champagne glasses, they popped open the bubbly to celebrate their next chapter and laughed at the weather and how it really didn’t matter in the end!
